Global Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

February Focus:
Alabaster - February 21st

Alabaster offerings are modeled after the sacrifice of Mary, who poured her precious perfume from an Alabaster jar onto Jesus' feet. (Matthew 26:6-13).

Alabaster offerings provide funds for property and buildings worldwide. The buildings erected for the purpose of ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to “put down roots.”  Alabaster funds help provide land for many Work & Witness Projects, and the ENTIRE offering (100%) goes toward the purchase of land and the construction of churches, school, medical facilities and homes for missionaries and national workers.

Nazarenes gave US $2.54 million for Alabaster to fund construction projects in 2019.
The Alabaster Offering is used in all six global regions. No Alabaster funds are used for administrative costs.

The next Alabaster Offering will be Sunday, February 21st at Lake Gibson Church.

Like Mary's Alabaster box, may your offering be "an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God." (Philippians 4:18b)!
